ABOUT BOSTON WINE WEEK:

Finally, someone has recognized how GREAT a wine city Boston really is, and is throwing a week-long party to celebrate it. That'd be the folks behind Boston Wine Week. And, okay, Red White Boston is one of the folks behind it. Not so much in the organizing part, that is, but definitely in the throwing-a-party-to-celebrate-it part. Actually, we're joining three parties throughout the week, and we hope very much that you'll join us too. Here's the idea, in a nutshell:

• September 20 to 26.
• 20+ restaurants.
• 6 specially-chosen wines for each restaurant.
• $9 per glass and $32 per bottle, even though some of the bottles cost upwards of $90.
